A high shear homogenizer is a must have for creating homogenous mixtures. The rotor is available in both fine and course options; the fine option is for homogenizing oil and water and the course option is for homogenizing a liquid and a solid. By spinning at speed up to 29,000rpm, the homogenizer "shears" the mixture into nano-sized droplets, creating extreme agitation that ensures the complete mixing of both parts of your recipe. 

A high shear homogenizer can be used for many laboratory and kitchen operations. This homogenizer will ensure complete mixture of medicines, tinctures, or even for edibles. If you're making cookies, for example, we suggest homogenizing your active ingredient in the amount of oil your recipe calls for, then adding that oil to the rest of the ingredients and follow the cooking instructions as normal. This process will ensure that each cookie receives the same amount of active ingredient and that your dosing is consistent, cookie to cookie and batch to batch.

The Scilogex D500 can also be used to emulsify hydrophobic compounds in order to make them water soluble. Making compounds water soluble can increase their efficacy by being more bioavailable and by reaching the blood stream quicker. 

The Scilogex D500 Homogenizer is modular so one motor can power multiple different generators for different needs. The generator shaft is made of 316L stainless steel with PTFE bushings.
