A reactor is a vessel that contains a chemical reaction, which opens them up for a variety of applications in the chemical processing field. It's used as a tool for many different processes related to extraction, winterization, distillation, and post-processing.
A reactor can come in different sizes, shapes, and forms. It can even come in different materials including stainless steel or glass.
In terms of cannabinoid processing, the most common use for a reactor is large-scale winterization. Here, a single or double jacketed reactor is ideal. This is because it allows you to circulate fluid around the exterior or interior jacket, chilling the mixture inside.
